Independent design studio
Design that holds under real constraints.
HS Design shapes brands, product interfaces, and visual systems for teams who need craft without theater. Early stage, deliberate, and built to look like work, not a template.
Practice
What the studio takes on
Four lanes. No invented case studies, no borrowed logos. Only the work we intend to do well.
01
Brand systems
Identity foundations, type, color, and the quiet rules that keep a brand coherent as it grows.
02
Product interfaces
Web and product UI that favors clarity over decoration: dense when the work needs it, restrained when it does not.
03
Visual direction
Art direction for launches, sites, and campaigns so the first screen already feels like the studio behind it.
04
Design systems
Reusable components, tokens, and documentation so teams ship consistently without flattening the brand.
Approach
Structure before polish.
Taste is fittingness under constraint. The goal is a surface that could not swap brands without anyone noticing, not another interchangeable card grid.
- 01
Frame the problem
Start with the audience, constraint, and decision the work must make obvious, not a component catalog.
- 02
Commit a thesis
Pick a direction early: what stands out, what stays quiet, what density fits, and what would make this interchangeable.
- 03
Build the real surface
Ship the primary workflow or page experience first. Polish follows structure, not the other way around.
- 04
Leave the system
Hand back tokens, patterns, and judgment notes so the next iteration does not depend on memory alone.
Studio
A practice built for clarity, not noise.
HS Design is the working name for an independent design practice. The offer is still being sharpened: studio services first, with room for product experiments later if they earn their place.
Until case studies exist, this site stays honest: no placeholder clients, no inflated metrics, no borrowed social proof. The standard is the work itself.
Prefer mobile-friendly web surfaces for distribution and validation. Native mobile apps are out of scope for now.
